Use Export to File to move or copy a Knowledge Base into another Project, or another HEDDA.IO instance/environment.

Export

Where is the export action?

On the Knowledge Base page, click Export to File (top-right).

Export steps

  1. Open the Knowledge Base.
  2. Click 'Export to File'.
  3. In the Export Knowledge Base drawer, choose what to include (Domains are automatic).
  4. Click 'Export'.

What gets exported?

Domains are included automatically.

You can optionally include:

  • Rulebooks
  • Dataset Rules
  • Members
  • Mappings
  • Runs
  • Data Links
  • Tags

Import

When can I import?

Import happens when you create a Knowledge Base.

Import steps

  1. In the target Project/environment, click 'Add Knowledge Base'.
  2. Switch to the Import tab.
  3. Click 'Local File' and upload your export file by dragging and dropping or selection.

Common issues to watch for

External connections / Data Links

If your Knowledge Base relies on external connections, you may need to reconfigure missing connections in the new environment or the new project.
