Use Export to File to move or copy a Knowledge Base into another Project, or another HEDDA.IO instance/environment.
Export
Where is the export action?
On the Knowledge Base page, click Export to File (top-right).
Export steps
- Open the Knowledge Base.
- Click 'Export to File'.
- In the Export Knowledge Base drawer, choose what to include (Domains are automatic).
- Click 'Export'.
What gets exported?
Domains are included automatically.
You can optionally include:
- Rulebooks
- Dataset Rules
- Members
- Mappings
- Runs
- Data Links
- Tags
Import
When can I import?
Import happens when you create a Knowledge Base.
Import steps
- In the target Project/environment, click 'Add Knowledge Base'.
- Switch to the Import tab.
- Click 'Local File' and upload your export file by dragging and dropping or selection.
Common issues to watch for
External connections / Data Links
If your Knowledge Base relies on external connections, you may need to reconfigure missing connections in the new environment or the new project.
