The Temporary Location Name in the Databricks configuration form acts as a temporary data storage space. It temporarily holds the data rows being processed before they are persisted to the Databricks table in a single operation. The persistence is carried out using appropriate queries, based on the Transaction Type specified in the Import. Temporary Locations are primarily used for optimisation, enabling all rows to be persisted in a single HTTP call.
You can read more about it in the official WOODY.IO User Manual.
