Changes made in Edit Version are treated as draft changes until you Publish. Publishing is the action that applies your Edit Version changes to the active (published) Knowledge Base. This approach is similar to a draft/publish workflow: it enables review, collaboration, and conflict handling before updates go live.
You can still run executions while in Edit Version mode. They will be recorded successfully, but they’ll be logged under the Edit version.
